Hermitage Bay Resort, Antigua Reviews

Hermitage Bay, Absolute Paradise
The thing that we seem to mention to people first every time we describe our trip is how friendly the staff was. A smile on every single face and a helpful hand whenever you need it made every day a joy. Add that to out of this world food, incredible views, insanely convenient snorkeling, and luxurious rooms and we may never go anywhere else ever again!

How did the honeymoon turn out in general?  In general, the honeymoon was absolutely amazing. Everything we saw was gorgeous and everyone we met was incredibly friendly. Even with the inconvenience of a fever and pain laden illness this was still the trip of a lifetime that was easily worth every penny!
And about the destination(s) in general?   The country itself was much more fascinating that I had imagined. On a day when we expected to simply be zip-lining and swimming with Sting Rays we actually got what turned out to be a partial tour of the island. Our driver, Steven, truly enjoyed telling us about his people and their history. Driving up onto the curb of the National Cricket Stadium and walking right in is something that would never happen in America, but there in Antigua we were simply greeted with smiles. I was definitely an amazing place
The least?   If I had to choose something I suppose it would be traveling within Antigua. While the roads are not entirely terrible on their own, the drivers seem a little erratic, and there are some roads that could definitely use some work.
Highlight of the honeymoon?   This may sound strange but for me the highlight of the honeymoon involves me getting sick. Despite the fact that I was basically out of commission for the majority of two days (unable to eat or drink without excruciating pain), I still had a blast. Everyone at the resort offered suggestions and even home remedies to help with my sore throat. While not everything worked, I was amazed at their willingness to help and overall concern for my well being. I may not have enjoyed being sick, but it in no way jaded my experience!
Anything that you wish you knew beforehand that you could pass on to us for future clients?  In general I think Unforgettable Honeymoons totally prepared us for our trip. The only advice I am relates to my personal experience of becoming ill on my trip. While we were prepared for the typical "stomach" issues many people experience on exotic vacations, we didn't really think to bring medication for other problems. The lozenges I purchased at the resort were over priced and mostly ineffective. I would suggest people bring a good assortment of over the counter medicine they already own in case the unthinkable happens!
Any other comments?   My only comment is to say Thank You! Unforgettable Honeymoons helped us get a great rate and armed us with all the information we could possibly need to enjoy our Honeymoon. Thank You!
Was our service what you expected?  It was. I did have trouble getting through to the GoGo Worldwide Hotline when my wife and sort of panicked about my illness and considered leaving. But...we were luckily able to get in touch with staff at Unforgettable Honeymoons and Leah gave us great advice.
Could we have done more to make your trip smoother?  Probably not, we had a blast!
