Windjammer Landing, St Lucia Reviews

Windjammer Honeymoon in St Lucia
The locals who were the resort staff were incredibly friendly. We went on some outings (recommended by the concierge) off the resort, most I would recommend, but one in particular I would not. I attached some pictures, mostly of the resort (one of the beach, a view from our room, one of the amazing food at The Dragonfly, one of the "pirate ship" I mention later, and one of The Dragonfly while we were eating there. We really did have a great, relaxing time and we will go back some day. The resort food was wonderful, and we were treated so well. The all inclusive was totally the way to go. We met some friends on the resort who we still keep in touch with and they wished that they had done all-inclusive. I really believe that we got our money's worth out of that option. One of the things it included was snorkeling twice a day which we really took advantage of!

How did the honeymoon turn out in general?  Our honeymoon was AMAZING! We really went there to have a great time, and we did just that.
And about the destination(s) in general?   We took an all day yacht/bus tour of some fun places of the island ( Coco plantation, Botanical Gardens, Sufre, Volcanos, Pitons). SO FUN! And educational :) We learned a lot about the island and the locals. We also took a sunset cruise (on what we were told was a pirate ship used in filming Pirates of the Caribbean !). They served rum punch and the views were beautiful! Last we took a helicopter ride from the resort back to the airport (which kept us from having to take a 2 hour winding bus ride back!). The views were amazing.
The least?   The was beautiful trip up the coast and up a river through a mangrove forest, but it was only supposed to be a 1/2 day trip and took up our whole day. We were picked up an hour late by "Jo" in an unmarked car. He stopped and parked in an alley for half hour and left us while he "talked to a friend". Eeek, that made us really nervous. Once we finally got to the kayaks they had to be cleaned - another hour - then they took us up a hill to get water -another 45 min- and we finally left to go kayak at lunch time, when we were supposed to be back on the resort!!! I only mention this in case anyone asks you about optional trips, we would not recommend that one, it made us really uncomfortable and was not worth the $170 spent.
Highlight of the honeymoon?   Deep sea fishing (with Ram). We had a blast even though we didn't catch anything (we saw lots of dolphins and a whale). It was our only day that it rained, and it POURED. That made for bad fishing, but our guide made it fun and memorable....totally worth the $ spent!
Anything that you wish you knew beforehand that you could pass on to us for future clients?  No.
Any other comments?   We really enjoyed working with you last time, I am glad you can help us again :) thank you Unforgettable Honeymoons.
